It's been about 6 months now since I built my desktop computer. I have experienced minimal problems thus far, but it has slowed down significantly without any significant reason. All i have been doing on it is playing D3 occasionally, League of Legends and Starcraft 2. The specs on it are:

Intel i5 Processor
GEForce GTX 650 1GB DDR5
16GB Ram
750W Powersupply

I can't name all of the parts off of the top of my head, anyway some problems that are occuring are:

I cannot overclock my processor (or atleast do not know how)
I cannot overclock my video card (this one is for sure because my card crashes with some kernel/driver errors)
My computer has slowed down

Anyway i can check to see if i built my desktop right?

How has it slowed down? Low FPS? Long load times? Stuttering?

very long load times. ie explorer took a whole minute just to load up initially. i uninstalled it and went to safari, same exact thing. same with firefox.

Usually when this happens, it means it's time to clean out the case. After 6 months, I'd have major dust bunnies.
EDIT: But in the usual, do check for malware/viruses/baddies on your computer. And 2) trying to OC through bios or program?

i jsut realized that i have a program that i can access while my computer is on. i don't want to mess with overclocking just yet unless i really need to! i just realized right now also that when i leave my computer for like 20 minutes, it will either stop running, the internet disconnects and my programs stop what they are doing. my computer settings are set to dim display after one hour and to go to sleep after 4. ill check inside my case later tonight and see if there's anything going on. thanks for the suggestion!

also, i do know i have a google redirect virus that i couldn't eliminate completely! my norton won't pick it up as well as malwarebytes, spybot etc. i tried this "manual" way to remove it but to no avail.
