DirectX Compatible Sound Card

I have a dell vostro 1510 but need a directx compatible sound card for flute lesson training my teacher gave me. How can I tell if it is before I buy the software?

any computer with sound system is direct x9 compatible unless that computer is over 10years old and does not have windows xp or newer.

Your dell vostro 1510 definitely has it.
