Hi

I recently brought a PC from a family member and re installed everything (drivers ect) and want to test how it would do in fairly old games. I was getting low frames in BattleField 2 (NOT 3) around 60 max but dropping down to 30's. Even though this card is not great in today's standards I expected it to be much better. I do have a Corsiar TX V2 spare and will see if it is to do with Power supply but other than that not to sure what is the cause.
Machine specs are

CPU- i3 530 @2.93GHZ

GPU-9500GT 1024MB (CORE=550MHZ) (Shaders=1375MHZ) (MEMORY=333MHZ)

RAM-4GB DDR3 667MHZ

PSU-Not a known brand

MOBO- Gigabyte H55M-UD2H

Would really like some help thanks

Hey,

Here is my advice:

Change the PSU to the better Corsair TX V2.
Buy an aftermarked cooler like CoolerMaster 212 Evo.
Overclock your CPU til around 4 Ghz. Should be done easily.
Buy a new Graphics card:
Around $100 - HD7770 or GTX 650
Or go higher.

Btw - I think your DDR3 are 1066 Mhz or 1333 Mhz.

If you want more help with everything, you can email me at mmhbloom@gmail.com for faster respons, but it do look like you know a lot of computers already with the build, you have.
