Budget Range: $900 - $1100

System Usage from Most to Leave Important: Gaming, Surfing the Web, Youtube, listening to music, homework (like typing papers)

Are you Buying a Monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: Everything. Upgrading from the HP G62 laptop with a p340 dual-core. Need new everything.

Do you need to buy an OS: Yes

Preffered websites for parts: Newegg.com , us.ncix.com , amazon.com

Location: Dayton, Ohio

Part Preference: Don't Care

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or CrossfireX: No

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 or better

Additional Comments: It needs to run minecraft, Guild Wars 2, and Battlefield 3 on good settings with 40+ fps

Why Am I Upgrading: My old laptop just can't handle any games, can only run minecraft at some 10 fps on low settings. It isn't good enough for me anymore.

I still have a mouse, speakers, and a keyboard laying around, so I don't really need those. I like the new FX-series processors for the value of them, plus they fit into my budget. Any suggestions, advice, or constructive criticism is most appreciated, as this will be my main computer for a while.

fx is not for games. more for workstations on the cheap

get this instead. 20% higher performance in GPU wise, more gaming performance from the CPU since they like strong threads rather than many weaker ones. and there is a SSD which makes things a hell of a lot faster
