Network bridge computer to xbox 360 problems

okay so im using a wireless connection on my labtop with a cord from my labtop to my xbox when i bridge it and try to connect it works for about a minute then something pops up on my computer saying Network Error, Another computer on this network has the same IP address as this computer.... thats where im suck im unsure of how to get around that, if its even possible. i cant directly connect my labtop to the modem nor my xbox as its on the other side of the house. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

i cant believe no has figured out what my problem is. does it help that i tell you my os?. im on windows 7. somebody please get back to me with at least what you think is wrong. cause im not genius i know nothing about this. nor hardly computers only the basics.
