No sound over hdmi through new graphic card

Hello,
I wanna ask. i have nvidia Greece 9500gs and it has spidf cable plugged to it. i bought asus radeon 5 series and video works great but no sound is coming throgh the hdmi cable. and there is no slot to connect this spidf cable to rad eon card. any thoughts?

Did you make sure to set the default audio output device to the HDMI audio device on the video card in Windows?
