Hey everybody!

I did it! Finally, after a lot of time thinking about it, I ordered all the components for building my own computer! It was an exciting and scary day, today, building it, but I did it. Everything went well until... The moment of the truth!

Once I pushed the on button, all the fans started spinning and... black screen...

So... I started trying out, disconnecting and reconnecting every component, and finally I managed to make the computer run, but by disconnecting the graphic card. In fact, I discovered it by mistake, when I forgot to plug back 1 of the 6-pin PCI-E cables (I have the XFX HD6870, it uses 2).

Now it does start (just finished installing Windows, everything else works) but the BIOS wouldn't recognize the video card as pluged in...

Any idea? Did I just break the card? Or is there something I can try? Ahh the life of the rookie is so hard...

Thanks in advance for any suggestion, idea or help!

What are your system specs? Specifically PSU.

When you were booting it up the first time, was your display plugged into the mobo or video card?
