I just ordered a brand new computer from newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227429&fb_source=message
Upon setting everything up, it started fine but would not connect to the internet. I checked to make sure the ethernet cable isn't defective and it works perfectly fine. The ethernet port isn't even lighting up when it "clicks" in. I went to device manager and "network adapters" isn't even displayed. I've used the motherboard disk to install all drivers, but there is no LAN driver to install. So I grabbed the driver file from http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?cat=Download&os=Win764&Model=H61M-HVS and it came back with the message about it being not detected or in deep sleep mode. I felt like the network port was just defective but the two USB ports that are boxed with it are working just fine.
