How do I find out what type of graphics slot I have?

I'm going to buy a new video card & I need to know what kind of slot I have

The easiest way to tell is to compare it to pictures of motherboards on the web. It's either PCI, AGP, or PCIe (although what version of each is not knowable without researching your motherboard specs or checking with a program that reports that info) and each is easily distinguished in pictures.




Have a look at that picture and compare it to your computer's motherboard's slots and you should be able to see what type of slot you have. Of course, you could simply tell arzbhatia and I your motherboard model and we could tell you the slot type, but this way you now know how to tell the type yourself if you ever need to ask again :)
