It won't bottleneck the GPU, but yeah it's a much older generation and the new Piledriver series perform better.

XMS3 isn't that great of a RAM either, best stick with Vengeance or G.Skill.

PSU is overkill unless you'll be adding a 2nd 7870 in the future?

skimping on video card is not i would do just to get a better cpu.
id rather have i3+7870 then i5+7770.
as for for 965 its still a damn good cpu a true quad core. just overclock it and it will match the new piledriver in performance :pt1cable:
