Approximate Purchase Date: the next couple of months

Budget Range: $1000-1200

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, video converting, surfing Internet and media player

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: New build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for parts: ncix.ca or canadacomputers.com

Location: Toronto, ON

Parts Preferences: good quality?

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe but not possible with mini-ITX right now

Your Monitor Resolution: no clue

Additional Comments: quiet PC is nice. Low power/heat and Small is best with some gaming performance. Game wise -I don't know yet. Maybe some fps, minecraft.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: my laptop turned out to be a POS - gasp, shock, surprise. I've never had a good laptop. Gone through toshiba, Sony x2 and IBM/Lenovo

I should mention that I am open to any suggestions for my choice of components especially if they save money!

I have built PCs before but I've been out of the game for a few years now.
