Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe but not possible with mini-ITX right now

Your Monitor Resolution: no clue

Additional Comments: quiet PC is nice. Low power/heat and Small is best with some gaming performance. Game wise -I don't know yet. Maybe some fps, minecraft.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: my laptop turned out to be a POS - gasp, shock, surprise. I've never had a good laptop. Gone through toshiba, Sony x2 and IBM/Lenovo

LIST OF CHOSEN PARTS------

Case - Fractal Design Node 304

CPU - either i3 3225, i5 3450 or i5 3570K
MB - asus P8Z77-I mini-ITX (has wifi - mandatory)

Graphics card - prefer ATI cards for cost effectiveness. Probably a 7850 or 7870. Worst case a 6850.

HDD - 1 ssd - unknown brand and 1 Sata drive - also unknown.

Ram - unknown

PSU - must be under 160mm in depth(length) to fit. Modular connection psu needs to be smaller for case.

I should mention that I am open to any suggestions for my choice of components especially if they save money!

I have built PCs before but I've been out of the game for a few years now.
