Editing/Gaming PC Cooling?

Hi guys, I am thinking about building an editing/gaming PC after Christmas and January, this is to do with the cooling.

The system will have an LGA2011 CPU (3930k). When I build the system might overclock the CPU to 4.0 GHz. But would it be better off with an air cooler or a water cooler (waterblock, pump, res, so on)

P.S If you guys want me to put the specs of the System I want to build. I will put them in my sig.

For an OC of 4Ghz, air cooling is more than adequate. I would suggest the CM Hyper 212 EVO. Really hard to beat its performance/cost ratio. I use one with my 3930k and it is awesome.

Ok, thanks for the help. Would the temps get high with an air cooler? I'm nervous if I overclock the temps will soar... I've heard though that the EVO keeps the temps low.

Overclocking up to 4.5Ghz won't be an issue for the EVO as long as you have good airflow in your system and a quality power supply.

To make a complete assessment, a complete listing of your system specs would be helpful.
