Is this a good server to run multiple instances of the Minecraft server? Are there any problems that you can see with the build? The OS will be Windows Server 2008.

Solution
I would consider it overkill for running multiple minecraft server, unless your running like 10+ or a couple hundred players and even then you will be internet bandwidth limited first

Overkill is perfectly fine, I know that there are going to be other processes along with running the minecraft servers in the background. It might also get re-purposed down the line as well. Thanks for the reply!

Its major overkill - but if thats what you want, then its good.

but only 64GB for storage? Server 2008 is going to eat up most of that, if not everything. I recommend getting a regular mechanical HDD to go with.

Initially, we're only going to put on a few token programs on there that should take up far less than 1 GB of space. Adding more storage is almost never a problem so I think that we should be ok.

I know that Microsoft recomments 40 GB+ of Server 2008, but how much space does it really take up?
