So, i have some questions. I have already decided for a case, but the build is gonna be next year :ouch: . The case is CM 690II Advanced. And don't know how to locate fans. I want positive pressure and here are two (probaly I will change stock fans):

1:
Front fan - 140mm - 60,4 CFM
Bottom fan - 120mm - 50,5 CFM
Rear fan - 120mm - 50,5 CFM
Top fan - 120mm - 50,5 CFM

2:
Front fan - 140mm - 60,4 CFM
Side fan - 120/140mm - 50,5/60,4 CFM
Rear fan - 120mm - 50,5 CFM
Top fan - 120/140mm - 50,5/60,4 CFM

If you have any better placement, feel free to share it. And, will a side fan affect airflow? :sarcastic:

I want quiet computer. How loud are really graphics cards, when the computer is on desk - <1m away. I'm thinking about card 7870 - probaly 8870, because my build will be probaly after 8000 series card. If it's too loud, can you replace them (probaly 2×92mm fans) for quieter operation? Or is aftermarket cooler better decision? :wahoo:

And about Samsung SSD 830 - Notebook kit (128GB). It comes with a SATA to USB adapter. Can i use this for an external drive (portable drive)? In the computer I'll use 840 SSD (500GB) (If nothing new will come). I have WD Blue 500GB right now in computer, that's almost 5 years old, and having total 250GB free with some games installed, many apps, windows 8 and a tons of pictures and music. 47GB are downloaded files. And 85GB is my total documents, pictures, videos, music. And 10GB is windows. Everything else games, apps and system files. If 500GB will not be enough, well better I have some cash ready. :pt1cable:

And here's my current system:
Intel E7300 - 2.66Ghz OC to 3.04Ghz on stock cooler under load 60°C
Asus 4670 (that's a graphics card if you don't know)
Asus M5KPL-AM
WD Blue (500GB)

it's retarded to even look at components now if you're not buying until next year - whole new products will be out then that will be better than what you can get now

you're wasting your time

Reiterating what Dingo said a bit nicer is that it's better to wait till it's closer to the time you will be building to see the components.

1. I have the CM 690 (the older one) and I use the first fan placement option that you use. I've tried having a fan on the side a few times, but it always was so loud that I moved it somewhere else. Also, fans placement is not a big concern and a better placement is unlikely to offer significantly better cooling. Clearly cable clutter is more important than fan placement.

2. I have an Asus HD 6870. My tower is about three feet away and I can't hear the graphics card.

3. The SATA to USB adapter can be used with any SATA drive. I'd recommend against trying to store all of your data on an SSD. While you should put the OS and most applications on the SSD, I've found little benefit for games compared to a fast mechanical drive. For some other types of data like music and documents I have found some speed advantages in storing it on a SSD.

Thanks jsrudd for help. Yeah, that's why 690 ii is good, it has lot of space in it. And Dingo07, you don't have to say to someone that you even don't know "retarded". + a lot of people buy case and psu before actual build.
