I was wondering what different ways Websites can identify WHO you are, other than your internet IP Address.

I was recently banned from a gaming network(for no reason). I see people that buy all new computers, change their IP addresses, re-buy the game of which they play, have someone else pay their web FEES so their name is not on the billing information, and go the whole nine yards to attempt to ban evade, but some how they always get caught "ban evading".

The website requires you to run an Anti Cheat System(.exe program) to play on any of their in game servers. Could this program be gathering information we don't know about?

website: www.esea.net
game: Counter-Strike: Source.

I'm not sure if i posted in the right spot to ask this question. If i didn't, please point me in the right direction to a new category.

CS:S servers usually ban via SteamID or via IP.
IP is unreliable as people can get a new one fairly easily.

It's likely that the anti-cheat program gathers system data and checks it against existing ban lists. I wouldn't bother replacing parts in your system just to get unbanned though.

Submit an unban request via their website, if they have that option.
