Opinion on a new upgrade config

Last response: in Systems

I am planning to upgrade my system. This is the config I have in my mind.

Intel Core i5 3550
Asus P8B75-M LX
2 * Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz (http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-vengeance-ddr3-4-gb-1-x...)

The cost comes around 20k INR. I wanted to know if there would be any compatibility issues between them.
Also, the ram specs say 1660mhz(test) and 1333mhz(specified). So, will I be getting 1600mhz on this board since my processor is 3rd gen i5? Or will i have to configure anything for that
The primary use of the system would be for video editing and adobe aftereffects projects. I won't be doing any overclocking.

Only now did I notice G.Skill RipjawsX. So, what would be better for my config, a single 8 gb or 2 x 4gb?

If this is for what you say it will be, you're better off getting an FX-8320 and an AM3+ motherboard.

You might have to configure the RAM to XMP so the 1600MHz will take place.

Thanks.
But that particular processor is not yet launched in India, says many websites. Also, I have been hooked to Intel processors since long. ;)

Well, I respect that.
If your primary concern though is the one mentioned above and you will have little to no gaming, the FX-8150 would be the cheapest CPU you can get that has the architecture you need such as the 4 modules aka 8 cores.
