I am looking at building a machine dedicated for gaming with Intel Core 2 Extreme 2.93 Ghz QX6800 with 8 GB Corsair GTX 6 2,625MHz RAM ;and ASUS P5KPL-AM/PS Motherboard. The problem is I am not able to decide on the Graphics card between NVidia EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SUPERCLOCKED and And SAPPHIRE AMD Radeon HD 6870- Does anyone have suggestions?

If you already have those components, great.

If not, they are really really old and not worth buying.

Get a processor that isn't four years old.
Dump the ridiculous speed RAM and put the cash where it matters in the GPU.

Fill out this form, we'l be able to help you better.

What he said. The Core 2 Extreme is more like 5 years old.

Get an Ivy Bridge CPU and a Radeon 7970 GHz Edition - that is what will make the difference.
