My friend is planning on upgrading his PC, though he is limited in the fact that his PSU is only 350w. After much deduction it seems that the GeForce GT 640 is the best card he could get without upgrading the PSU(Cause hes cheap).

His Specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8

4gb DDr3 Ram

The upcoming GeForce GT 640

Monitor Resolution 1600x900

At that low resolution do you think he could run Battlefield 3 at low-med settings at a comfortable frame rate?(60fps)

Open to AMD options as well.

Best solution

a c 191 U Graphics card

Well the GT640 is not the best card he can get without upgrading the PSU. That would be the Radeon HD7750. Which is much faster than the 640 and uses less power.
