Hello i am going to be building my very first pc soon and for my computer i am going to buy the AMD FX-4100 for the processor and the AMD Radeon HD7850 as the GPU, i was just wondering whether the FX-4100 would be bottlenecking the AMD Radeon HD7850, as the FX-4100 is a rather cheap cpu and i am worried that it will bottleneck the GPU.

If you are buying AMD at least get the newer Piledriver especially if you are concerned about bottlenecking now or in the future

get either the 4300 or for just $10 more the 6300

At 1080p resolution the graphics card will be more of a limitation than the processor and you will be fine with either of those , or the 4100

How's the FX-4170? as it is only an extra $15 and its core clock is 4.2GHz, is it alot better than the FX-4100 and will it not bottleneck the HD 7850 at all?

Also, i have stumbled across an Intel CPU, the i3-3220, and i have seen some benchmarks for it and it beats both the FX-4100 and the FX-4170 so i was wondering if i should get that instead, however, i am unsure of what motherboard i should buy with it, my budget for a motherboard is around $70.

These is also a better upgrade path when investing in the Intel CPUs compared to the AMD CPUs.

Actually that's the one thing AMD has going for it, they release multiple generation for socket. Intel creates a new socket for almost every generation

edit: though this is probably the last generation for both
