Is my video card toast?

I have been having problems playing Cs lately. After a few minutes of playing I'm booted to the desktop which gets resized to 640-480 with 256color. When I go to display properties and change back to true 32 and change the resolution back to 1280X1024 the color automaticly goes down to 256 again. I have to reboot to get the color and resolution I want.

Then today when it happened again and I went into the disply propertied window the was numerous fuzzy lines across the display window. The desktop and screen look fine but when I load a game I thought maybe it was to intensive for my card and that's why it kicks me out.

One other thing ,I have a PIII 700E the has been running at 933 so my AGP bus has been at 89mhz for over a year, could I have finally smoked it? It's a creative annililator geforce 2 GTS.

Thanks.

It's possible the card is dead, but i'd try new drivers and a clean load of whatever OS you're running.
