Best surface to build my pc

i was waiting for the power supply to come in the mail today so i put the ram in and the hard drives in their slots and stuff, but i started out on one of those plastic tables with metal legs, is this ok for building my pc or should i find somewhere else to build it

What is it on? a Carpet? Try to get make it on tile. Laminet counters are what I build on. Also it is good to put it on the motherboard box because it is anti static.

the table is on a carpet, and i have 3 younger siblings so having it anywhere other then my room which ony has carpet is not going to be possible

i just build on my kitchen table or my wooden floor. if your room is not particularly dry, everything should still be fine
