Hi All,

I have been running my current system for nearly 2 years now and I have started to notice that its not up to scratch to play new games. So Im looking to upgrade however funds are short so if I could upgrade component by component that would be good but I understand that that may not always be possible.

Currently I run;
Intel E6550 (2.33GHz), 4GB RAM, Radeon HD 4600 series full sized case. ASUS P5K/EPU MB

I purfer ATI over NVIDIA and I am currently running windows 7 although that will change soon.

So my question is what should I upgrade first, the video card? if so could people please recommend a good one that will utilise my current setup?

I am Australian and will be buying of umart.com.au

Any advice appreciated.

well, your cpu might bottleneck some modern card, but that ok untill you get a new cpu , and the amd 7850 is good ,it plays most games at 1080p ultra/high,

I think your video card and motherboard should be upgraded. Your CPU can still play newest games, but if you want to, go for intel core i5. your RAM is fine either. Radeon hd7850 is what i suggest.

Are you sure the 4gb of ram is enough? I can get 16gb of corsair for $95?

Thanks again.

Thanks again,

So my current plan is to get one of those 7850 cards (not sure which one yet) and some more RAM. Next upgrade around I think a new mother board and maybe CPU.

Does this sound about right?
