and? have you done any benchmarks or testing? temparatures? voltages? CPU and GPU clocks and loads at the time of stutter?

from the list you've given all I can tell is this machine costs about $1500-2000 and unless something is malfunctioning shouldn't have any problems running games.

Gotta give me something else go on here...

Monitor temperatures, especially of your CPU. Does it matter if the game is online, i.e. could it be caused by network latency?
A program like HWINFO64 can track temps and clocks over time. You can use that to look for anomalies.
Are you using the latest drivers with your HD7970? Were they cleanly installed? Some HD7xxx cards drop back to 2D clocks under some circumstances (my HD7870 was doing that with the 11.6 and 11.8 Catalyst drivers).

not sure how to go about benchmarking or testing but i normaly use hardware monitor for tempratures of cpu .but for some resson i cant see my tempratures anymore. i think it might be to do with a setting in my bios but i am unable to change anything in my bios :S

i can tell u what my gpu ses on the trixx program witch is reatime that it uses

idel temp around 35 c load temprature when running games 50 c and above

gpu clock is at 1050
gpu memory is at 1500
board power Li 0
vddc 1256

hope this helps

I would put it down the to CPU if anything but even then that's a decent CPU. I hope you find the problem.

Well I guess you could monitor CPU usage with CPU-Z, and if your CPU is hitting 100% then that's where your problem is :)

If you install CPU-Z, you will see what I mean and it will log your CPU usage and tell you what is happening while you are playing a game.

I tryed diablo 3 .thats online and the stutter is bad. running the game in windows mode and looking at core temps window frequncy 1 seems to be at 42% and frequancy 5 seems to change from min 15% to %20 frequncy 0 and 3 were 3% to 5% and the others were on 0%... is this normal..i dont no about this stuff at all .looking at hardware moniter my max cpu temp dosent go any higher then 40 c
