Hello,

I'm currently thinking about upgrading my graphics card to I can handle more games in 1080p. I think that my graphics card is the slowest component in my pc atm but im not entirely sure.

The current spec:

Intel i5 2500K (OC to 4.2GHz)
ASUS P8Z77-V LX Motherboard
8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz RAM
Radeon HD 6950 GFX Card
OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD
600W Modular PSU

I was possibly thinking of upgrading to a GTX 670 or even 680.

Any help or opinions I could get off anyone would be much appreciated.

My advice, don't go for 680, you'd be overpaying for marginal performance gain of 5-10% which isn't noticeable.

But with that said, lets take a look at 6950 vs 670:

On average 670 is almost twice as good as 6950. With some overclocking (which 670 has proved to be very good at) you can easily run at 680 levels with no sweat.

But wait a second, there's another option you haven't considered here. 7970 is of comparable price to 670. The performance is as follows:

As you can see, the cards are about equal and the differences only show themselves depending on which game. So, consider which games you play most and which price/company sounds more attractive to you.
