New build start up problem

I just got a new system and I got it all up and running but now I am having problems with getting it to start like when once I get it turned on I works really well but sometimes it will not start up after 20 try's I am not sure if it knows witch one to start off or what but it will usually come up with this message that says asmedia controller sata3 port and some other stuff then press any button to exit and I am starting to get a little mad about it cause now i can't use it

use the sata ports that are native to the chipset instead

Then what do I do with the ones that aren't

K now I switched over to one of the intel ports and it will not boot or even show the asmedia controller message

GPU:gigabyte gtx 670
CPU:intel i7 3770k
os:windows 7 home premium
CPU cooler:corsair H100
HDD:seagate 2TB
SSD:Kingston hyperx 120GB
Memory: corsair vengeance 16GB
Optical drive:LG blue ray writer
PSU:seasonic 1050W x series

I did switch it and now it just comes up as a black screen and I have to restart it a few times for it to do finally startup

first of all, 1000w is totally overkill and you will never use that much power

can you just connect one drive at once?

My os is on the SSD if I unhook the HDD it starts up first time no problem with just the solid state

Ok now I unplugged the hard drive and I will not start at all

its probably a bad board. did you ask asus tech support?

No not yet but like once it starts it works fine

I talked to the people where I caught the board from and they told me to update the bios so I did and that fixed the problem
