I'm a bit confused about the different memory areas on my 6600.

FExplorer shows C:, D:, E: and Z:.

I know that E: is the memory card and Z: is the ROM. C: is marked
as "Flash" - I guess that this is the phone's data area for
pictures, sounds, apps, etcetera; the built in equivalent of the
memory card.

D: is marked as RAM - this I assume is the RAM disk for the OS's
temporary files etc? Is this this all the RAM of the phone, or does
it have other RAM that is not part of the RAM disk?

Looking in Appman, it shows "Free memory 7.66M. Disk Free C:
770.90K, D: 1.37M".

Does this sounds like a reasonable amount of free space? I think
that 770K of phone flash sounds like not very much, considering that
all my themes, my gallery and my apps are installed on the memory
card, except for the Orange rubbish that I can't remove. My
messages are still in the phone memory, so they will be taking some
space. Does having less space on C: effect the phone's performance
generally, i.e. speed? I realise it will limit things like max size
of messages or files transferred.

Is there any good way to 1) find out what is using the phone memory
and 2) clean it out (other than a reset?). I notice lots of files
on C: relating to the "Action Engine". Can I just delete these?

If I want to reset my phone to clean it out, I guess that I would
want to save contents of my memory card (gallery stuff), my phone
book and my messages. Will PC suite allow to me back up and restore
just these items? I try to avoid using it, mostly.

Sorry for all the questions: just trying to understand the phone
better.

Thanks in advance.
