Hi there

I've lately had some very anoying issues regarding my computer.
My FPS can't seem to get above 8-9, but yesterday it was fine: roughly 20-25 (which I also find a bit weird, might just be me. I was expecting a higher FPS, tbh.)
So, my computer is an MSI GX640

I'm not very familiar with identifying problems with computers, so I figured you guys could help me out.
Any clus? :(

The 5850M isnt really a powerful gaming graphics chip.

First thing is to make sure you have the latest drivers.
Then check that nothing in the background is using CPU resources.
Try turning down the settings. You wont be able to play on ultra/High.
Also make sure your pc isnt overheating.

Forgot to mention that I run everything on low. :/
It hasn't had problems with games like Crysis, CS:GO or anything like that.
The PC is kind of hot - how can it be fixed?

Download coretemp or realtemp to check out the Temps of your CPU. Laptops blow how air from a vent, but you need to make sure its actually too hot for regular use.

I know it's very hot. It has sometimes just shut down. But what can I do to fix it? Buy an external cooler, like a plate or something?

yes look for laptop coolers on newegg and amazon. Get one with 2 fans or more for better cooling. Honestly with a laptop that's about all we can do. Just make sure when its set down it has around 1 inch of space between table and laptop so air can pass through efficiently.
