Hi Guys

So I currently have a Dell Inspiron 545 & I'm looking to upgrade to a Sapphire HD 7750 Low Profile Edition 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card [11202-10-20G]

My current motherboard doesn't have an extra power draw for the big graphics cards so a low profile graphics card seems best,
I just want to know if the 300w power supply will be ok dealing with this card

Links below

Thanks, I would really appreciate any help
Phil

Unfortunatelly you power supply is not enough for the HD 7750, which needs at least 400W. Also you motherboard may not allow you to place a PCI Express 3.0 card on it, as it has only 1 PCIe x16.

That's PCIe 2.0 slot in that PC for sure. It was made after 2008, while PCIe 2.0 was available at 2007.

Also, 300 watt power supply is more than enough for HD 7750. It will work in your system without any problems.

The 300W you have is more than enough for the 7750. Also, I don't think you need the low profile. You can run the regular height version since your case is regular sized.

Ok thanks, so the PSU should be able to deal with it and my motherboard also definitely supports this card?

HD 7750 is a small card. It will fit.

even the larger one card? not the low profile card

You would be surprised how small that case is inside, I hate it

Also what are the differences between the bigger and low profile cards?

The bigger cards fit in regular width cases, like yours.

The low profile also fits in the skinny cases. Seeing as you do not have a skinny case, there is no need for the more expensive skinny card.
