Hey everyone,

I just built a new system using an 1155 motherboard. The problem is that when I put the USB connection in the socket I accidentally bent one of the pins, however there was another USB connection slot where I put it instead as the other one was broken. My PC runs fine for about a month now but I was worried that the bent pin in the first USB socket is touching another pin, is there any chance of a short circuit or something like that?

Thanks for your help.

Every chance of a short circuit since two pins are touching. However, its only a USB connection (not a lot of power) and most likely one of them is a ground wire.
Don't think that it would kill the system or anything.

Would still pop open the case and try prying the pins away from each other.
