.ViewSonic vertical lines...

Hello,
ViewSonic monitor has red vertical lines about 1/16" apart with flickering snow. If I adjust the screen up or down it clears to pure blue. At other times an image remains from a previous website imagery. Is this the monitor or the video card or both?

Normally graphical anomallies are displayed when the GPU is getting hotter or when it is very close to death, they don't happen everywhere, normally they show up on games, or when windows is starting. and normally followed by a gpu shutdown (also causes the screen to black out).

Normally vertical lines on screen, red blue or colored are a monitor problem, just to be sure try any other display you have at home, but i bet it is a monitor problem, already saw that problem happening before.

Also Normally you can take a print screen of a GPU anomally on screen, and you can't take a print screen from a monitor anomally. try taking a SS of your screen.
