Get a 2500k and a older z68 board they work just as good as ivy to an extent and it will save you a few bucks. Get a cheaper keyboard . Its just a keyboard upgrade it in the future. Ebay has great shops on it for electronics at good prices and have deals aswell, check that out. And the 3570 is only 10% faster the 2500k is a awesome cpu.

Check out my $1100 build here:
Save some money on the PSU, for just as good performance. If you buy your combo at Microcenter, that's $85 off for a total of $1071. You'll get a better GPU, and imo a just as nice case with better airflow @ stock.

Monitor $120:
Cheaper, better and larger.
Windows $92:

True Total: $1283
You save money, get a better GPU, MB, and equivalently as good of a PSU that can still SLI/CF w/ an OC on the chip.

This is a better CPU heatsink.

I changed the PSU for the rosewill one. i also changed the gpu to the stock clocks version, plus it has 3gb of ram and 3 free games and a discounted game. (im gonna stick with the 7950 because i think it will get the job done. plus ill be doing xfiring later when it needs help.)

As for the monitor, i am looking for one that has speakers in them. i dont have any speakers at the moment and my headphones are starting to fall apart. are there any other monitors that you recommend?

im going to stay with the cooler master case and cooler because i like there eye candy. i know that the phantom series of NZXT's is popular and a good case i just feel like choosing something different than some people. also the EVGA cooler is cooling looking too but the v6gt looks are more aggressive to me. thank you though for your suggestions so far.

any recommendation on a wireless card?

If you save money on the monitor and you get a better monitor, why don't you just buy speakers with the monitor? You save like $20 at the end of the day with the monitor suggested:
Plenty of headphones on sale from Newegg right now:
All decent ones too.
If you want speakers:
All pretty decent and cheap.

If you can get the 7970 now why not? it'll prolong the time you need until you need to Crossfire, plus it's much better. It's up to you but I'm just saying at the cost, why not.

As for the NZXT case, have you looked at the Corsair 400R or 300R? I didn't just suggest the Phantom in my guide.
