I just brought a new computer and am running WinXP. When
I tried to load the drivers for the soundcard I got the
error: Windows cannot load the device driver for this
hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code
39). So far I have upgraded my bios, reinstalled the
drivers and even went as far as putting in another
soundcard, but still get the same message. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

If you also have an onboard audio chip on the motherboard this should be
disabled in the BIOS before installation of the new soundcard.
