HD 6970 HDMI dual monitor...

I'm trying to set up my TV to my computer along with my monitor and it's not working. I used driver sweeper before installing the latest update for my video card and still has this issue. It seems only 1 display will work at a time. Monitor is connected with DVI, TV is with HDMI. Do they not work together? I can switch my display from TV or monitor, but can't extend or duplicate the display. Does it matter which DVI port I use also? I can't use the DVI port next to the HDMI port on my graphics card because the HDMI cord is a bit too bulky.

I used to have this problem with my old 6950/6970. Some monitors I just couldn't get to work together. I don't know if it was fixed. I was running 2 TV's, so that's probably why.

You should check the specs for your exact brand / model. Which ports are shared and witch are working independently can typically be found on the specs page of the manufacturer. Even tough the 6959 chip supports four displays, this is not always implemented.
