Running Dual Monitors with HDMI and VGA

I want to run dual monitors using HDMI and VGA. My computer has both ports, however, the hdmi port is a bit too close to the vga, making it impossible to connect both cords at once, is there some sort of dock, or extender I can use so I can use both ports? I just want to know if there is anything I can do with those ports, I have alternatives using usb, but I would prefer not to use those if possible. This is a laptop, however, while using my monitors, I don't use the laptop display.

The problem with the hdmi is the width is the plug part itself. However the vga cable without screw may work, but it still might not. I think if it does it will be a pretty tight fit. Do you know where I might get a vga cable without screws?

Do you think an exacto knife or regular knife would work?

Worth a try, it is just flimsy plastic after all.
