Better to have a expensive card or 2 moderate in crossfire or sli

What are the cards in question? And usually the single card setup is the way to go. Less heat, power, and compatibility issues.

Should I spend 500 on a pcie 3.16 or 2 for 250 on pcie 2.0 ?

Haven't really looked hard into cards yet. Just wondering for the money is it worth getting into sli or crossfire ? If you had 500 to spend on a card would you buy 2 or 1. It sounds like u answered my question. I was looking at the GeForce 580. Thanks for reply.

If you were looking along the lines of a 580, that is the wrong move. The 660Ti is quicker and comes cheaper.

Also, there isnt much of a difference between 2.0 and 3.0 PCI-e. New cards are not quick enough to utilize it yet.

I'd also look into the 7950 or the 7870. Make sure you have the right power supply for these cards though.

I have a rosewell ps 750 watts with v2.31 And v2.92. That should be enough for 1 card ?

I've had nivida for ever and it's been reliable. Whats better for gaming 660 or the 7950 ?

Your power supply is fine.

And for SOLELY gaming, if you are a Nvidia fan go for the 660Ti, as it usually comes with a coupon for Borderlands 2.

If you plan to do any video rendering I would go for the 7950.
