670 4gb, 7970 Ghz or 680 for 2560x1440 monitor

Hello, I am currently working on a new build and am having trouble deciding on a graphics card and monitor. I am leaning towards ordering a Korean 2560x1440 monitor such as the Achieva Shimian qh270 or perhaps a catleap. I currently have three cards in mind: the Galacy Geforce GTX 670 GC 4gb, the Saphire Radeon Vapor-x 7970 GHz edition, and the EVGA GTX 680 2gb. I am leaning more towards the Galaxy 670 due to the fact that the 4gb of vram should help at the higher resolutions. It is also $50 cheaper than the 7970. My current purchased parts are:

-i5 3570k
-AsRock Z77 Extreme 4
-Coolermaster hyper 212 plus
-corsair tx650m pS

Any input on a card and monitor combination would be appreciated. Cheers.

7970 easy for that resolution, especially if it's the GHz edition.

The 4GB vram is irrelevant at single monitor resolution - it only matters in triple screen resolutions and you need to be in SLI/Crossfire to have enough GPU power to balance it out, as per the conclusions here:

I'm a little confused about the pricing... if we're talking about newegg in the US, the Galaxy 4GB 670 is $420 and the Sapphire Vapor-X GHz ed. is $450.

The Ghz edition 7970 is 15-20% faster than the 670 at your resolution for not even 10% more money, so it's the easy choice.

Techreport did a nice review of those Korean monitors recently, they look like a nice deal:
