Just... building a PC will give you WAY more performance, and it's really not hard at all.

But, put together a list of the exact same parts, along with the prices.
If it comes out enough less if you build it yourself, show the list to your parents.
Explain that the educational value of doing it yourself is priceless.

I'd trust that brand and yes it is a pretty good computer.
