I have a Dell Dimension 9200 with a Nvidia Geforce 7900 GS graphics card with a PCI Express x16 Bus and was thinking of replacing it with a Nvidia GTX 670. I was wondering if a GTX 670 would be compatiable with the 9200 or would I be better trying another graphics card?

Better off buying a new system, since the new card would require a new PSU, and the CPU will bottleneck a lot.

Its not worth it to put that 670 in a Dimension 9200. Better off building a partially new system with the money you have for a 670.

I have 2 Dell Dimension 9200 both running Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6800 2.93GHz/8M/1066MHz Socket LGA775 Processor SLACP, 8gb ddr2 800 ram. One has a Zotac gtx 650 and the other has a Zotac gtx 760 (the Zotac 760 needed a PS upgrade), 2 160gb HD in raid 0. I have purchased some ddr2 1066 ram in the hopes that it will work. as of 12-22-13 I have the latest bios installed. These machines run very well and I have less than $500 invested total. One Machine is running win7 Ultimate and the other runs Win8 Pro.
