Hey guys, looking for a relatively cheap GPU:

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Doesn't really matterBUDGET RANGE: CAD$0 - CAD$75

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Minecraft, some other basic gaming

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: Radeon 3000 (Integrated), Antec VP450 450-watt PSU

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Motherboard: ASRock 960GM/U3S3 CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.ca, ncix.com, tigerdirect.ca COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Canada

PARTS PREFERENCES: N/A

OVERCLOCKING: Very unlikely

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1280X1024

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Basically going to be used for Minecraft and some other basic gaming, nothing with requirements much higher than The Sims 3. Based on from what I've read I'm thinking HD6670, but I'm wondering if there would be a better option? OS is Linux if it matters. Links to purchase sites from Canada please. Thanks!

Well honestly I'd recommend you upgrade your monitor first, I mean there is no greater happyness than what you get from a nice 22" HD monitor and they are cheap, like around $130 (US).

Honestly, anything decent, is going to be major overkill at 1280x1024 cause all the load will be on your cpu at that resolution.

A 6670 would be all I would recommend for that monitor. If your planning to upgrade the monitor anytime I would go with at least a 7750.

...Derp. Didn'd notice the sapphire lol. One more question. In addition to the motherboard and CPU listed above, I have 2 SATA hard disks, 1 SATA SSD, and 1 LED case fan. Will my 450W PSU be able to handle it after I install the GPU?
