Is wired network interface card dead

hi ,
I lost connectivity due to heavy lightning attack . I checked for wired adaptor in the device manager .I could not find .But wireless is shown. I checked the BIOS set up. There also ,I could not find the wired adaptor. Is the NIC is dead. Mine is Realtalk 8319 adaptor.
IN case it is dead , Can i get USB NIC adaptor instead of NIC .

Sure, but a PCI or a PCIe one would be better. Unless you have a laptop.

Lightning or a surge can easily cause the NIC to fail, they are very sensitive to power surges.
