Hello! I'm building my first gaming computer and i need help choosing between two GPU's:

EVGA SSC GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB ($179.99) OR EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 660 2GB ($229.99)

I was wondering which one was better for the price and whether it's worth it to shell out an extra $50 for the 660?

Take into consideration that this will be used for moderate-high gaming and as well as school work. Other specs that might help:

ASRock Z77 Pro4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77
Intel i5 3570k
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB

ANY information would be very helpful! thank you!!

The 660 is the better card, so get that one if you can afford it.

Here a comparison between the two so you know what that $50 gets you.

From the looks of those number, I think the $50 is worth it.

Dont buy EVGA cards, reference design cooling runs louder and hotter than custom. Get a card from Gigabyte, MSI or ASUS.

+1 to manofchalk always buy the best card you can afford first rather than something that is ok. After you sneeze and cough your choice will be irrelevant in terms of tech. Better to get a better performer than a mediocre one.
