I just got my new Enermax PSU 465 and after installing I noticed a whinning sound from the computer whenever I moved the PS2 mouse or the wheel. After listening carefully it sounded like it was coming from the FD or one of the HD's. When I looked closely, I noticed the power connector was connected backwards on the FD. After correcting, the whine is gone but the FD no longer reads so I guess it is toast.

The FD's sound responding to the mouse was a real surprise. I don't understand why it would do that.

Have you tried it in a different computer?
