45-75FPS on Minecraft?!?

Hey I just got a new graphics card and started getting from 110fps to around 55fps. This is a problem because I record and it will drop down to around 30.

I used to have a GTX 550Ti which gave me 110 frames. I now have a Radeon 7850 which is almost double in performance and I get around 55 now?

PC Specs
- AMD Phenom II x6 1055T
- Radeon 7850
- 1.5TB
- 500W Power Supply
- 6GB Ram

I know that there is a mod called "Optifine" but I am not looking to use that. I am on the "Max FPS" Settings and am not dedicating more ram to Minecraft because it does not need it.

What "500W" do you have?

The latest version of Java helps a lot. Heard that version 7 is pretty good. Go and get the 32 and 64 bit versions of Java. Also, download the latest GPU drivers. 12.8 is the latest.

I have version 7 32 and 64 with the latest gpu drivers already lol
