I want to upgrade to a more powerful graphics system. I already have a gtx 560 im wondering would it be better to just buy another one for around 150$. Or should i spend more for something like a 660ti.
The 7950B earns huge marks in Crysis, and smaller wins in Metro, Dirt 3, and Batman, while the GTX 660 Ti gets small wins in Total War, BF3, and Portal.
Looking at Anand's bench, I would say the 7950B is better, since a lot are built with 7970 PCB's and the fact that the 7950 is significantly less memory-bottlenecked makes heavy core OC's more rewarding.
I was looking around and saw that new generation cards will come out in a few months is it worth waiting?
Actually no, the next generation code named "Maxwell" won't be out till at earliest 2014.. the cards you may have been reading about would be the rev of kepler. Like intel has their "Tick, tock" sequence with their cpu's.. NVIDIA seems to always do a similar thing... Will the rev cards be faster? Yes, most likely is history of nvidia repeats its self like fermi. Is there a guarantee it will be worth the extra 100% tacked on to each level of cards? depends on how the performance will be. That i don't have a answer for yet
