I have put this together to give high performance in both gaming, and video editing, especially with photoshop. If you don't need that good a photo/video standard, you could drop to i5-3570K, and 8GB (2x4GB) of RAM. Have also allowed PSU capable of handling 2nd GPU, in SLi, and high quality monitor. Not suggested keyboard/mouse, as that really depends what you want. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks
Mostly ok, but do you need 16GB of RAM. If you do, get it as 2X8GB. Use GSKill Ares, Crucial Ballistix Sport, or Corsair CML. You only really need 8GB for gaming. If getting 8GB, get it as 2x4GB, same type as above.
