Is there a proper way to format a SCSI HD. I want to put a fresh install of Windows 2000 and the rest of my apps.

It's the same as an IDE hard drive or anything else. Just make sure you have it ID'ed correctly and it's terminated properly. Other then that if the SCSI controller see's it, your rockin'.

...or you could do it from the controller. SCSI (all?/most?) disks have the ability to format themselves. All the SCSI controller does is initiate (execute) it to do so. If you have a Adaptec controller, hit CTRL+A at boot up & go into utilities.

I think that is a Low Level Format, which isn't going to get the drive ready for OS use. Right?

Correct. This is my preference for prepping a disk. I just make a primary partition & let the NT/2K/XP disk handle the rest.

Mr. Jeremy, I've always been a big fan of yours - especially when you were an insane ex-boyfriend in a diaper in hell in "Devil in Miss Jones IV".
Really some outstanding work.
