PS vs Capture RAW conversion comparisons.

A few more observations:

Capture doesn't preserve ISO in the EXIF of a TIF for the D70 and PS-CS
does (jeeze it's their own camera, that is critical info!).

Capture does not allow compression of TIFFs resulting in enormous files.

Saving as PNG (only available in CS) does not allow any EXIF info.

Pure JPEG as such doesn't allow EXIF info - they extended format in a
compatible way to add it in, and the same could be done with PNG as it
also allows for extensions. To date, as fas as I know though, it hasn't
been done.
