Okay. I built a system about 2 years ago now. This is the original set up
Galaxy GeForce GT 430 1GB DDR3 PCIe
Intel Core i3-550 3.2Ghz 4M LGA1156 CPU Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Mid Tower Case
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit DVD OEM
2xPATRIOT SIGNATURE 4GB DDR3 PC10600 1333MHZ CL9/HS
ASUS P7H55-M LX Intel H55 LGA1156 Motherboard
Seagate 1TB LP Serial ATA HD 5900/32MB/SATA-3G
Samsung 22X DVDRW SATA OEM
ULTRA LSP550 550W ATX POWER SUPPLY
Now, the computer on when my AC died in my apartment. So I turned it off it until it was fixed. At that point the PSU would turn on but nothing would appear on the monitor. Tried the onboard video didn't work either. Used an older computer with the monitor so it works, but didn't get anything out of the newer computer. Now I've had Asus boards go bad on me before so I went and purchased a new mother board, chip and ram. And this is the list for that.
MSI 970A-G46 AMD 9 Series AM3+ Motherboard,
AMD FX 6100 3.3 GHz Six Core (FD6100WMGUSBX) Processor
G.SKILL Ares 2x4GB DDR3-2133 Desktop Memory CL11@1.6V 8GB Kit F3-2133C11D-8GAO
So I put these in and got it powered up. Now the only thing I switched out was the ram, cpu, and mobo. But still no picture. Everything is seated and making contact as they should, just getting nothing form the video card. Would try the onboard video but the board didn't have any. SO any opinions on what to do next?
