ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I just want this sexy apple monitor to work with my newly purchased Radeon video card. Hopefully this can happen??? (fingers crossed)

I have just built a new system and I have the Asus P8Z77- V Pro/ Thunderbolt MOBO. I have purchased the HD 7970 video card and the new Apple 27" display to run on it. I cannot get anything out of the Monitor. Do I need to purchase something else to make this work or is there a setting that I missed?
Please be so kind as to advise on this matter.

Okay so I got no reply ....
Hmmmmm ......
I hate to let Technology get the best of me so I kept at it while Updating all drivers and attempting to get the mini ports
on my HD 7970 to work.
I have discovered that with the card installed on my board I cannot get my Apple 27" Thunderbolt display to work at all.
I then plugged in a Monitor VIA HDMI on the HD 7970 and it worked.
I then attempted to hook up the Apple monitor to the mini thunderbolt port on the MOBO.
No video. I then powered everything down and removed the video card and plugged my apple
monitor into the Board and IT WORKS !!!!!!
I tested all points on the screen :
volume = yes
fire wire 800 = yes
usb * 3 = yes
I can't test the thunderbolt pert due to I don't have another thunderbolt product to test it with at this moment.
I can say that Asus has surprised me with this board though. ( Asus P8Z77-V Pro/ Thunderbolt does support the new
Apple Thunderbolt A1407 monitor.
