Hi, I have a Samsung Syncmaster 2233SN Plus connected to a ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (1024 MB). The problem is that it does not recognize the monitor and shows it as a generic VGA monitor in windows and a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 whereas it should be up to 1900. I've tried updating all drivers with Driver Genius Pro and made sure the cable is properly fitted but nothing works. Any idea what the problem could be
?

My pc has the following specs:

CPU Type QuadCore Intel Core i5-750, 2000 MHz (15 x 133)
Motherboard Name Asus P7P55D LE (3 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 2 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR3 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN)
System Memory 8183 MB (DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM)
Video Adapter ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (1024 MB)
3D Accelerator ATI Radeon HD 5750 (Juniper)
Monitor Monitor PnP genérico [NoDB] (HQBSB02512) .. (really a Samsung Syncmaster 2233SN Plus)

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello. Since today I have the same issue, ATI Radeon 4200 HD, same monitor, Win 7 64 bits. ATI drivers up to date, but I could not find a driver for the monitor. I would have to see where I have put the CD with the drivers and reinstall them. Did you solve the problem already? How?

Regards.
